Crans-Montana 2005

Lithuanian National Championships were held in Switzerland this year. Overall, the land of cows and hole-y cheese is pretty boring... but as you'll see from the pictures, we made the best of the situation!

Welcome to Crans-Montana!

Well the end of the first day saw us up on the terrace drinking beer and enjoying the sun. There wasn't much snow in Switzerland, but there was an abundance of sun!

When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be one of Warren Miller's pretty girls who could ski. Well, I'm pretty cute here in my new ski jacket, let's see now if I can ski!

One thing is for sure, the view is breathtaking.

The snow was a little brown, but we could see from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc!

Ahh, what a day. Diana and I took in the sunset on our balcony.

Me, racing to gold in GS. Wow I actually look like I'm carving a turn! Though I'd say I'm a little late around that gate!

Yep here's me, on my way to a gold medal slalom run, until I straddled the final flush!

Oh well. What are you gonna do. I say, go telemarking!

All the overall winners got giant cowbells as a gift from Switzerland! That bell is so cool it makes the whole trip worth it!
