There was so much to celebrate the last weekend of March...
It was Pink Thursday, Good Friday, Anders' 30th Birthday, Easter, Easter Monday, and great weather! So when I headed to Sweden for some skiing and a long over due reunion with the Swedes, Joe decided to jump on a plane and come too!
Unfortunately I was out of batteries when I landed in Stockholm, suffice it to say, Johannes came down, Joe made it up, and we polished off more than a bottle of Lithuanian Degtine. Here Joe and Johannes chill by the car as were getting packed for the 8 hour drive to Åre.
Finally in the car, it took 3 hours to make the first 100km so Joe, Helena and I pulled out the Degtine and started the party in the back seat!
It was 2... maybe 3am... we had finally made it to Åre and it was time to start the REAL party!

Saturday morning of Easter weekend is NOT the morning to be late to the hill! We stood in line for an hour! But we had such a good day, it was more than worth it!

Joe and I took off and skied a bit on our own... we ended up in this ravine where at the end everyone had to ski over this little jump and try to avoid that hole in the snow to the creek below! That telemarker wasn't quite so smooth...

These were our appartments.
Instead of driving all the way back to Stockholm, we decided to stay the night in a hostel in Sundsvall. I was there almost 8 years ago visiting a friend!
