Bienvenue a l'Alpe d'Huez!

These are pictures from my week in l'Alpe d'Huez, France, known as "l'ile au soleil", at the Lithuanian Ski Championships, January 4-10, 2003. It was a fabulous week in the Alps, I can't believe it's already over!

Me and the guys. Why do they look so serious? Maybe because they're about to ski some of the most incrediable terrain in the world... but wait... we only skied the groomed stuff all the way down! I need Joe and Jason there next year to ski with!


Trail signs... not that they really mean anything... you can pretty much ski wherever you want.


Last picture. So there you go. One week at l'Alpe d'Huez. The World Lithuanian Ski Summit will be here next year, so put it on your calenders, and Joe and Jason, don't forget your avalanche beacons... next year we're skiing EVERYTHING here!
