After more than two years, we were finally together
again!
This time, hitting the road in Lithuania!

Aurélie's first day in Lithuania was beautiful! We walked
from my house all the way to Kalvariju Market.

There were lots of things to take pics of at this market... it was
a little bit different then in Rennes!

Aurélie grabbed this pic of the blind guy playing the accordion
in the middle of the crowd...

I love the huge bags of beans and grain...

It's unbelievable!

I got a great pic of this woman and her jars of various treats!

Egle took us to Trakai in the afternoon. First we stopped for a snack
and the traditional food of Trakai.

In Lithuania, if the temperature is above freezing and there is sun,
you sit outside!

I convinced Egle to get a row boat...

...and I rowed us around the castle.

This is me rowing. I needed some exercise!

I took a little break to grab this pic of Egle and Aurélie.

After a trip around the lake, we went to nearby Vievis to go fishing.
Aurélie and Egle went first.
And both were successful!
This is Egle's fish.
Now it's my turn. It took about as long as these two pic imply! Not
more than a couple of minutes!
That guy on the right killed our fish by knocking them on the head...
it was a little bit startling, but I guess it's a quicker death for
the fish!
All in a good day's work. Now... which spices should we order?
I call this one, "Self-portrait with my fishing pole"
Mmmm.... dinner.
Since we had three fish, we got to try all 6 spice combinations.
Now THAT'S fresh fish!

We're hungry!!! Take the pic!!!

Back on a cloudy afternoon in Vilnius... I was a bit sick... not
super into picture taking. But I tried.

This street looks up toward Prie Universiteto, one of the bars we
visit often.

On Wednesday, we hit the road! All the way to Kryziu Kalnas. This
is the cross Aurélie and I hung for each other.

We just liked the look of the American flag cross.

This is almost the ONLY pic we have together! But good thing it's
a nice one!

Self-portrait in Kaunas in front of Vytautas the Great Church.

Talk about contrasts... little girls in national costume taking balloons
advertising a modern art exhibition.

I wish I had somewhere to wear MY national costume!
That's it for our short week... we'll have to do it again sometime!
