Rocky Mountain High You never realize how great something is until you loose it. I came back to Colorado and realized for the first time just how great life is there... After three days of unheard of cold and rainy in July, the clouds parted to reveal those Colorado blue skies so I made Jason take me up the Poudre river and go running with me. The trail head. This trail was amazing... it got rocky in parts, keeps you on your toes... and through a patch of burned out trees... the sprint to the finish... walking it out... Jason points out a dead snake... It was hot and that looks like a lot of fun! Later at the Horsetooth Resevoir, doin' the "Cathy and Vytau"... then dinner at Jason's new place before driving back to MI... Michigan After a week driving out and back to Colorado, I spent another week in Michigan this summer... The house... it looks bigger from the outside...
Mom and Adam I'm waiting for my drink... iced tea and lemonade... after a run at Boyne... Took Grandpa to the track for interval training. Leaving the cottage... Back in Okemos I'm teaching Ian Lithuanian over a glass of Starka... Adrienne's Wedding
Jason, Joe and Ryan hanging out in front of the getaway car. The Virskus kids with Grandma and Grandpa Orange. There they go! It's the only automatic in the fleet! Luann, Joe and Vytau. Joe and Camilla having a lively discussion. Me and Luann. I can't really bring myself to call her "aunt" since she's more my generation than my parents'! Jasonukas and Bozukas... Look at the devilish look on Joey's face... Cathy and Bobby... this was right after they did a shot of Starka which my mom didn't remember the next morning... it was that good! The wedding party sure is young... I think the bride and groom are the only two old enough to drink! Aunt Judy with Jason, Joe and I. Me and Adrienne... I brought the drinks... Sparty showed up for a dance with the bride. The Virskus-Lessards... we did miss Lani and Aaron though... Jason and Ian-monster. Me and the boys. Mom and the boys. Uncle Louie sure looks good for all the shots he's had! Me and Grandpa cuttin' a rug. I'm not sure why but Adrienne thought this would make a good picture... maybe for old times' sake. Joey goes for a spin with Grandma. Grandpa dances with the bride. I'm not sure if Adrienne is laughing or crying here... in any case, it was a great party! Now, what time was my plane again?
